Automatic Control Valve

Automatic control valves, as described by EN 1074-5: “have the integral capability to control the function using energy from the conveyed water by adjusting the position of the obturator. They can be directly operated, i.e. the force is applied (via a spring or diaphragm) directly to the obturator. They can be pilot operated, i.e. the force is applied through an adjustable pilot valve”.
Design standard : EN 1074-1, EN 1074-5
Face to face : EN558-1
Flanges : EN 1092-2
Tests : EN 12266-1
Surface protection : Coating process with epoxy powder of blue colour RAL 5015 with a minimum thickness 250 μm.

  • Installing PRV before each distribution network will reduce and keep the output pressure constant independent of the flow rate or inlet pressure fluctuations.
  • We can manually set the required reduced outlet pressure in the Pressure reducing pilot.
  • Reduces water loss substantially.
  • If there are some critical customers like hospital, fire stations in a water distribution network, to prioritize critical customers, assured water pressure regardless of the demand in the distribution network has to be ensured.
  • In such cases, pressure sustaining valves are installed in between critical user and the distribution network.
  • The valve maintains a constant upstream pressure at the valve inlet (for critical user) independent of the demand at the outlet (other consumers).
  • For delivering a constant flow from reservoir independent of the water level or limiting and controlling the flow to each water distribution network as per the number of uers in that network, suitable flow control valve can be installed.
  • The valve will maintain the pre-set flow rate in all networks regardless of fluctuations in upstream and downstream pressure.
  • Closes when a water tank reaches a required level.
  • Opens when the water head falls below the inertia of the altitude pilot.
  • The valve controls filling of a tank to an adjustable level.
  • Altitude pilot senses the level in the reservoir in terms of pressure and which will open and close as per the minimum and maximum set level.
