Flange Adaptor – Sigmaflow

Flange adaptors join plain end pipe to flange valves, pumps, fittings and pipe; virtually all types of liquid and process equipment. They require no threading or welding, and allow for pipe misalignment. Flange adaptors are used for field installations in lieu of standard threaded pipe flanges when the latter are found to be impractical due to time and/or cost restraints.

Advantages :

They provide a watertight rigid flanged connection.
Eliminates solvent welding, tie rodding, harnessing and other forms of restraint.
The adaptor flange also allows for maintenance of flanged systems and equipment by simply loosening the bolts and removing the flange.

SIGMAFLOW offers a wide range of Flange Adaptors with interchangeable end rings & gasket. Flange Adaptor facilitates the connection of plain ended pipe to flanged ancillary products. It is able to connect a wide variety of pipe materials including Ductile iron, Steel, grey Cast iron, PVC, GRP and Asbestos cement amongst others. All products are designed to have a test pressure of PN16 for water.

Flange adaptors for PVC/HDPE provide positive end restraint with a grip ringfitted on the inside of the flange. When the two flange halves are brought together by tightening the clamping bolts, these ring locks the flange onto the pipe. The exclusive gasket is then added. Tightening the flange bolts compresses this gasket against the facing flange and down onto the pipe surface, providing a leakproof seal.
